Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

I'm doing the Book Blogger Hop after quite a while this weekend. Somehow Fridays always seem to be extra busy and I never manage to get enough laptop time. For those of you who don't already know, Book Blogger Hop is a weekly event hosted by http://crazy-for-books.com/ and is a great way to 'meet' fellow book bloggers.

This week's question is:
“What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?”
(Note: I’m putting one caveat on this question. You aren’t allowed to say the Bible, Torah, Qur’an, or other religious/spiritual text.)

I think it would be a tie between Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky. I feel like I spent half my life reading just these two books and carting them around gave my arms a proper workout :)

Happy weekend everyone and Happy Hopping.crazy-for-books.com

  1. Most people would guess I’d write myself in the role of a hero in a fictional adventure of some kind. But that would be only partially correct. As is my norm, I throw a curve ball in my answer that makes perfect sense one you follow my logic. Follow me back to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and follow along the logic with me!

  3. Is Les Mis worth it? I want to read it, but only if its going to be very good as it's such a commitment!

  4. Good answers! Le Mis was mine as well, The Brothers is much longer, and I haven't tackled it yet :) But I will.

  6. I just finished Les Mis earlier this week and really enjoyed it! I'm a bit too scared to start The Brothers K...

  7. Sam I liked Les Mis but it is very gloomy as the title suggests.

Madigan If only it made any difference to my flabby arms.

Two Bibliomaniacs The Brothers K is a bit scary. It took me forever to read it.

  11. Wow! Those are two mammoth books - great effort. I have read neither, but I absolutely LOVE Les Mis. It is my favourite musical - the songs just instantly get me going, so I'll definitely have to get stuck into these books - perhaps on a nice long holiday!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog - and becoming my newest follower :)
